“I Remember My Mother’s Prayers…”

Dear Readers,

With this post comes my very best wishes to each of you on this special day.  As many of you know, my mother made her transition 27 years ago, but I will always carry her in my heart.  Some days the years feel like an eternity.  Other days, it feels as if this happened just yesterday.

I truly feel we never completely “heal” when we lose someone so dear, we just learn how to tuck away the pain in a private compartment and keep those feelings at a safe distance.

A few months ago, a friend sent me a note of encouragement when I was feeling challenged.  She ended her message with a quote from President Abraham Lincoln.  I thought it was an appropriate tribute to a great lady.  She was truly my hero.  I hope that she knew that when she was alive.

I remember my mother’s prayers
and they have always followed me.
They have clung to me all my life.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Peace & Blessings
